Why Safeguarding Matters
Welcome to our Safeguarding Matters course for staff and volunteers who are serving in churches and faith based organizations.
In this course we set out the Biblical principles around safeguarding and how as churches we support and look after those in our churches who are the most vulnerable.

Paul & Sue Harrison who are founders of Christian Safeguarding Services in the UK will provide narration throughout the course for you.
You will see the themes we will cover in the course below. Once you have completed a section you can move onto the next until the end of the course and the whole course is complete. You can also stop and start over the course and you can pick it up from where you last left the course.
Keep yourself safe through the course
This course contains issues around harm to children. We appreciate that for some learners this can be upsetting and may trigger a trauma response. We suggest that you take a break, or skip forward and perhaps you revisit the page when you feel able to do so. Alternatively, have a buddy with you or please talk to someone you trust if you find the content upsetting.
